LinaLina Svedin, Ph.D., Professor Director of the Master of Public Policy Program

In addition to her roles as Acting Director of the Master’s in Public Policy Program, Acting Director of the Master's of Public Administration Program, and Associate Chair for Political Science Lina Svedin is an associate professor of political science. She teaches courses in public administration, public policy, and ethics. She often teaches the course Public Policy Analysis - a core class for the Masters of Public Policy program - and Governance and the Economy - a core class for the Master of Public Administration program. Dr. Svedin's primary research examines critical governing functions under adverse circumstances. Lina particularly focuses on ethical decision making and actions, accountability, and organizational cooperation in crises, in an effort to strengthen public policy and support collaboration and trust in governing institutions. Her latest book is Accountability in Crises and Public Trust in Governing Institutions.

BethElizabeth Henke, M.S.,
Program Manager, Master of Public Policy Program

Elizabeth Henke is the Program Manager for the Master of Public Policy Program. Her current work includes recruitment, admissions, academic advising and alumni relations for the MPP Program. After receiving her Masters of Science in College Student Personnel from Miami University in 2003, she has worked as a student affairs professional in the areas of academic advising, developmental education, scholars' programming, alumni relations and residence life. Her areas of interest include program evaluation, strategic planning, risk management and assessment.
