Career & Professional Development

Graduates of the MPP program make important contributions in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors while being leaders in their communities.  The MPP faculty and staff are here to help you obtain great jobs and meaningful internships.  The small class size within the program allows us to get to know you so we can make specific suggestions regarding your career as well as help you connect with employers and alumni.  To learn more about their opportunities visit Career and Professional Development Center.

The MPP has its own Career and Professional Development advisor, Cathy Tingstrom, to help students with:  general career planning, networking, resume and cover letter writing, internship and job search, prepping for interviews, negotiating salary, and more!

Cathy will be holding office hours exclusively for MPP, MPA, and MIAGE students!

Starting February 13, 2019 Cathy will be designating hours to solely help Public Affairs students.  These hours will be every other Wednesday from 4:00-6:00PM in Gardner Commons, Suite 3050.  Meetings will be half an hour long and by appointment.

To schedule an appointment with Cathy visit the Ucareerpath portal at http://careers.utah.edu/.
