Career Services

Graduates of the MPP Program are a versatile and accomplished group. They are leaders in their communities and make important contributions in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. The MPP faculty and staff are here to help you get great jobs and meaningful internships. The small MPP class size at the University of Utah allows us to get to know you well, so we can make specific suggestions for your career and connect you with employers and alumni.

Finding an Internship

Frequently MPP students find internships by approaching places they would like to work and explaining what they can do for the organization. We also have employers who approach us and would like to continue to work with our students. Stay on top of these positions by joining our Student Newsletter.

Students frequently partner with:

Hinkley Institute of Politics Internships

Kem Gardner Policy Institute

Employment Opportunities

Employers and alumni frequently reach out to us to share job opportunities. Stay informed of who is looking for MPP grads by joining our monthly Alumni Newsletter.
