Tell us a little bit about you current position?
The best way to explain my job is that I’m essentially a college student, learning about policy nearly every day of my working life. The great part is that I’m getting paid for it. And at the same time hopefully educating stakeholders and policymakers on important policy issues.
How has having an MPP influenced your career?
Going through this program gave me the specific skills that I need to do the job that I do now. My favorite class was Public Policy Research taught by Dr. Dennis Wei; more than any other class it helped me become a much more careful reader of policy research analysis.
Without my MPP from the U, I wouldn’t be in the position that I am now, which is a fantastic job that makes me want to get out of bed and go to work each day.
